Draining and filling in engine oil
Warning
Danger of scalding from hot oil!
When changing engine oil, the oil must be drained while hot so that all dirt particles and suspended matter are cleaned out. The engine oil
must not be drained by suction.
When changing engine oil, the oil must be drained while hot because hot oil is more fluid than cold oil.

Wear personal protective gear (goggles, gloves).

Position collecting container as close as possible to the drain opening on the oil pan so that no hot oil sprays out at the side!

Have sufficient cleaning cloths ready.
Information
Engine oil should not be removed by suction as particles of dirt may remain in the oil pan.
1. Remove oil drain plug -arrow- and collect the engine oil in a collecting container (allow to drain for approx. 5 minutes). Dispose of waste oil in
accordance with legal requirements.

2. Replace sealing ring on oil drain plug and fit oil drain plug. - Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)
3. Fill in engine oil of the stipulated viscosity and quality. Oil filling capacity without oil filter - Filling capacity: 8.5 liters; oil filling capacity with oil
filter - Filling capacity: 9.0 liters
