Removing And Installing Starter

Technical values

Preliminary work

1. Before the starter can be removed, the battery must be disconnected and the terminal covered.
2. Remove intake-air distributor.
3. Remove fuel distribution pipe (fuel rail) on DFI engines.

Removing the starter

WARNING:
Risk of damage to starter

The battery must be properly disconnected before the electric lines are detached on the starter.

1. Undo electric change-over valve.

1.1. Pull off electric change-over valve -1- from the support -2- ( -arrow A- ) and place to one side with the lines connected.
