3.4. Clean bonding surfaces with isopropanol.
3.5. Scrape off adhesive residue -A- on the adapter -1- using a metal scraper.
3.6. Clean bonding surfaces with isopropanol.
Installing rear spoiler
INFORMATION: The following assembly work must be performed when replacing the rear lid.
1. Prepare rear spoiler for installation.
1.1. Insert fastening screws -3- into lower part of rear spoiler -2-.
1.2. Carefully position lower part of rear spoiler -2- on upper part of rear spoiler -1- (-arrows-).
1.3. Tighten fastening screws -3- crosswise. Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ftlb.)
INFORMATION: Allow approx. 20 mm extra on top of the specified lengths as a pulling aid (protective film without adhesive tape). The pulling aid
makes it easier to pull off the protective film when the rear spoiler is fitted.
1.4. Get strips of adhesive tape ready.
A = 35 mm + 20 mm
B = 170 mm + 20 mm
C = 170 mm + 20 mm
D = 170 mm + 20 mm
E = 35 mm + 20 mm
