3. Unscrew fastening screw -4- on connection point and pull out line.
4. Remove line downwards from the engine area.

Installing compressor-evaporator line

INFORMATION:
-

When loosening or tightening the refrigerant lines with line connections, always counter with the special tool assembly tool 9822 if possible.

When loosening or tightening the refrigerant lines with connections to air-conditioning components (e.g. condenser), always counter with a size 21
open-ended wrench if possible.

Before re-installing the component, check the O-rings of the refrigerant lines for damage and replaced them if necessary.

Wet the O-rings of the refrigerant lines with refrigerant oil.

Do not open the plugs for the lines and connections until shortly before installation.

1. Insert line from below into engine compartment.
2. Insert line into evaporator line and secure using the fastening screw -4-. - Tightening torque: 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)

3. Push line into the compressor, secure with the fastening screw -2- and clip line into the support -7-. - Tightening torque: 21 Nm (16 ftlb.)

4. Insert line in underbody area into rubber mount -6-, close support and secure with fastening nut -5-.

Subsequent work

Subsequent work for compressor/evaporator line

Install air-conditioning compressor on engine.
Fill in refrigerant.
