Retaining screw

Draining oil for final drive

Warning
Risk of scalding from hot oil

-> Let the oil cool down
-> Wear personal protective gear (goggles, gloves)

1. Place oil collection pan under the transmission.
2. Unscrew fastening screw for halfshaft flange. To do this, screw two drive shaft screws into the halfshaft flange for countering purposes and loosen

fastening screw.

3. Remove the halfshaft flange.

The coolant line holder and coolant line can be pulled down slightly for easier access to screw No. 3.

Use a Torx socket wrench insert with a minimum length of 120 mm to loosen or tighten screw No. 5.

4. Screw out lid screws in the sequence -12 to 1-.

5. Loosen lid by tapping lightly on the final drive housing and drain the oil.
