INFORMATION:

Performing DME short tests using the PIWIS Tester.

Work Procedure:

The information below describes the procedure for carrying out short tests using the PIWIS Tester 9718.

Starting point:

-

Handbrake on.

-

Manual transmission: Gearshift lever in neutral.

-

Tiptronic: Selector lever in position "P."

-

PIWIS Tester connected to the vehicle.

-

After Control unit search > DME control unit selected.

-

Engine running.

Follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester.

1. Start short test with "Knock control".
2. Then continue the tests up to "O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response".
3. Switch on all loads to max. setting:

-

Air conditioning,

-

Fan,
