8. Check the chassis number and press F12 .

9. Switch off ignition.

INFORMATION:
If a new TV tuner is installed, there must be no signals at the optical waveguide connector (disconnected optical waveguide connector does not light
up).

Given this, the battery must be disconnected before installing a new TV tuner.

10. Disconnect the battery.

11. Replace the control unit.

12. Connect the battery.

13. Switch on ignition. Select the Write data menu (procedure described above), press F12 and then press F8 to start installing the data that was read

out.

14. The System Tester displays the message Data has been written. Press F12 to continue.

15. Read out the fault memory and erase it if necessary.

16. Carry out a function test on the TV tuner.

Subsequent work

Carry out instructions after disconnecting the battery in the course of a test drive.
