1. Unscrew both fastening nuts -1- .
2. Take the control unit out of the holder.

3. Release and unplug electric connectors -a- .

Installing trailer hitch control unit

1. Connect electric plug connections until the connectors engage securely.

2. Position control unit on the holder and secure with the fastening nuts -1- .

Tightening torque: 4.8 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

Subsequent work for trailer hitch control unit

1. If the control unit was replaced, the  new  control unit must be adapted to the vehicle using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818.
2. Secure the rear side trim panel at the right.
