Do not expose airbag units to temperatures above 90°.

Do not remove the short-circuit spring on the plug-in contacts.

Ignition and preparations may only be carried out by skilled staff, supervised by a second responsible person.

Before disposal, the airbag unit must be rendered harmless by electrical ignition performed in accordance with all precautionary measures, thereby
preventing it from being used incorrectly.
7. Switch off ignition, remove the battery charger from the power feed and disconnect the battery.
8. The airbag control unit can be replaced after a wait time of at least 1 minute.
9. Select Maintenance of vehicle order and press F12 .
10. Press F8 to write the values that were read out.
11. Select the Airbag control unit in the overview and press F12 .
12. Select Maintenance/repairs and Lock and press F12 .
13. Read the warnings on the Tester.
14. Press F8 to start programming and follow the instructions on the Tester.
15. Read out the fault memory and erase it if necessary.
16. Switch the ignition off and then on again. The airbag warning light in the instrument cluster comes on and must go off again after a few seconds.
