Pressing in wheel hub

Place pressure piece T10205/10 -1- flat onto the wheel hub. Make sure that the inner wheel bearing race -2- lies flat and centered on the press-on
sleeve 9694/3. Carefully press in the wheel hub until the pressure increases (monitor pressure gauge. -direction arrow-.

Installing ball-joint bearing

Tools for pressing in ball-joint bearing, 1 - pipe VW 454, 2 - pressure piece T10230/8

Position pipe T10230/8 under the workshop press -2-. Get a second worker to hold the wheel bearing housing.

Pressing in ball-joint bearing

Use pressure piece VW 454 -1- to press the ball-joint bearing carefully into the wheel bearing housing at the correct position as far as it will go
(monitor pressure gauge) -direction arrow-.

Subsequent work

1. Install brake cover plate, actuator for EPB, brake shoes (remove tie-wrap before installing the brake shoes!), brake disc, speed sensor in reverse

order.
