Pressing out wheel bearing

7. Carefully press out the wheel bearing -direction arrow-.

Removing inner wheel bearing race

Tools for pressing off inner wheel bearing race, 1 - separating device no. 111, 2 - pressure piece VW 454

8. Position separating device no. 111 -2- under the inner wheel bearing race -1- and clamp uniformly with an open-ended wrench -4-. Do not damage

the wheel hub -3- in the process.

9. Screw the large ram into the workshop press. Place separating device no. 111 with the wheel hub under the workshop press. Make sure separating

device no. 111 lies flat.

10. Use pressure piece VW 454 -arrow- to press the wheel hub carefully through the inner wheel bearing race -1-. Hold the wheel hub from below (a

second worker is required).
