Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect power booster pushrod at brake pedal.

2.

Remove vacuum hose from power booster check valve.

3.

Remove master cylinder to booster attaching nuts.

4.

Remove master cylinder and position aside without disconnecting brake lines.

5.

Remove power booster attaching nuts and washers.

6.

Remove power booster.

7.

Reverse procedure to install, torquing power booster attaching nuts to 18 ft.lbs. and master cylinder to booster attaching nuts to 11-19 ft.lbs.
