Fig. 5b ECU connector terminal identification

1.

Disconnect wire harness connector from CTS.

2.

Using a suitable high input impedance digital volt-ohmmeter, measure sensor resistance.

3.

With engine warmed up, resistance should be less than 1000 ohms. With engine at room temperature, resistance should be approximately 3400
ohms.

4.

If resistance of CTS is not within specifications, replace.

5.

Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ECU connector terminal 15, Fig. 5, and the sensor connector terminal, then ECU connector terminal
32 and sensor connector terminal.

6.

If an open circuit is indicated, repair the wire harness as necessary.
