Check alignment of the belt lower timing mark. The lower paint mark (17) should be aligned with the timing mark (18) on the crankshaft sprocket
(Fig.9).

If a new timing belt is being installed, install the belt so the belt mark (70) nearest the directional arrows is aligned with the marks on the cam
sprocket (71) and mounting plate (72) (Fig. 37).

The two directional arrows (73) on the belt should be between the intermediate shaft pulley (74) and idler pulley (75) (Fig. 37).
