Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation
Renix Throttle Body Fuel Injection (TBFI), Late Type System
The MAT sensor is installed in the intake manifold in front of the intake port and responds to the temperature of the air/fuel mixture in the intake
manifold, providing a variable voltage for the ECU.
1986-87 vehicles use an upgraded sensor which contains an integral wire harness, smaller diameter boss and different calibration.
