REVISED CARTRIDGE LABELS

GENERAL INFORMATION

To eliminate confusion in the field, revised MS1700 cartridge identification labels have been developed for the Bendix/Bosch cartridge, part number
8981 320 776 and the Renix cartridge, part number 8981 320 831. The new cartridge labels identify the model, year, engine and automatic transaxle
application. The new labels retain their original part number but have a revision date of 9/87. Apply the new labels to cartridges as follows.

Procedure:

1.

Thoroughly clean the old cartridge label with isopropyl alcohol or equivalent cleaner.

Note:

Remove all loose or peeling portions of the old label.

2.

Peel the protective backing from the revised label and apply it directly over the old label.

Note:

Make certain the label part numbers match.

FILING

After applying the revised labels to the cartridge, file this in the Bulletins section of the MS 1700 Renix manual.
