Water Pump: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Drain cooling system.
3.
Remove upper grille crossmember and remove grille.
4.
Remove radiator and cooling fan(s).
5.
On air conditioning equipped vehicles, remove condenser.
6.
Remove water pump belt.
7.
Remove all water pump attaching bolts except centermost bolt, which should be loosened completely and left in pump, then remove pump.
8.
Reverse procedure to install. Refill and bleed cooling system as outlined.
