NOTE:

When replacing the pilot bearing on models with the long clutch shaft coat the outer track ring of the bearing with Loctite 648 or 680 if the
flywheel bolts are not secured with a lockplate.

Oil Seal and Bearing Assembly Replacement

1.

Remove the clutch housing as outlined in the appropriate workshop manual.

2.

Press the old seal and bearing assembly out of the clutch housing (Fig. 1).

3.

Coat the bearing bore in the clutch housing with Molykote BR.2.

4.

Align oil holes A and B in the clutch housing and bearing (Fig. 1) and press the new assembly into the clutch housing. Be sure the seal is flush
against the housing.
