Passive Arming (Enter the Passive Mode)

Passive arming (Enter the passive mode)

NOTE:  When passive arming mode has been programmed, arming of the system is automatically accomplished without using the remote transmitter.
Note that in this mode, DOORS MUST BE LOCKED.

To enter the passive mode
Open the driver's door.
Remove the two clips fastening the front portion of the side sill cover with a screwdriver.

Remove the side sill cover by pulling it up.
Connect the connector (A).

IMPORTANT:  Use extra care to the airbag system harnesses when setting the passive mode. Disconnection of connector could result in accidental
inflation of airbag system.

NOTE:  To place the system in active arming mode, disconnect the connector (A).

Turn the ignition switch from LOCK to ON.
Install the side sill cover.

Arming the system

Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the ignition switch from ON to LOCK, and remove the key from ignition switch.
