Fault diagnosis assistance for diagnostic trouble codes caused by connectors H42-2 and H42-3

Background
Diagnostic trouble codes in accordance with the following list can be generated despite the fault being located elsewhere than indicated by fault
diagnosis. Usually pins are dislodged in connector H42-2 or H42-3.
For this reason H42-2 and H42-3 must be checked with respect to dislodged pins and other contact problems before normal fault diagnosis is performed.

Indicated diagnostic trouble codes and fault symptoms in accordance with the above list Procedure
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short circuits. In addition, check contacts,
connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, dislodged pins and pin clamping force.
Carry out the procedure in accordance with the description in TSB248-2423.
