The test lamp should light.

Checking the wiring harness.

Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness.
Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO

Rectify the wiring harness between pin 6 on the data link connector and pin 13 on the Motronic control module or between pin 7 on the data link
connector and pin 16 on the MIU (K22), or between MIU (K22) and pin 55 on the Motronic control module.
