WARNING:

Do not release the locking pin for legroom adjustment when the seat is removed from the car without having first of all removed the torsion spring.
This risks the seat rail sliding backwards and causing bodily injury.

All illustrations show right-hand front seats but the same applies even to left-hand front seats.

1.

Remove the seat from the car, see 8 Body, Seats in WIS.

2.

Position the seat in the reclined position with the underside easily accessible and the backrest in the raised position. Lift up the backrest
upholstery's rear piece for better accessibility.

Be careful of the upholstery.

WARNING:

One of the seat rails has a torsion spring to make leg room adjustment easier.

Unhook the torsion spring very carefully before work is started.

3.

Remove the bolt that holds in place the bracket with the easy entry sleeve. Use a narrow screwdriver (Torx T30).
