Undo the 3 throttle body retaining screws.

Lift up the throttle body, clamp and detach the 2 coolant hoses to the throttle body and detach the hose under the limp-home solenoid.

Detach the lower vacuum hose.

IMPORTANT

When the ignition is turned on and the solenoid/throttle body has been removed, the limp-home solenoid will be activated After ignition ON the
limp-home mechanism must be reset in accordance with "Resetting triggered limp-home solenoid". See: Computers and Control Systems/Service and

Fit the lower vacuum hose.

Fit the coolant hoses and remove the clamps.

Position the throttle body and screw it on with the 3 retaining screws. Fit a new seal if necessary and lubricate it with a thin coat of vaseline (part
no. 30 20 271).

Attach the hose under the limp-home solenoid and fit the clip.

Tighten the 3 throttle body retaining screws.
