Front Seat Belts With Belt Tensioner Triggered, 5D

Front Seat Belts With Belt Tensioner Triggered, 5D.

If the seat-belt tensioner has not been triggered it should be scrapped.

To remove

WARNING:  Read carefully before starting work.

1. Ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Slide the seat forward as far as it will go.
3. Detach the scuff plates on the rear and front doors (secured with clips).
4. Remove the door seal strips round the B-pillar.
5. Remove the seat belt fixing in the front seat by pressing the clip with a curved screwdriver, see drawing showing dimensions.
6. Remove the air vent grating (snap fasteners).
7. Remove the upper, inner pillar trim (which is secured with snap fasteners) by taking hold of the trim at its upper edge and pulling cautiously down,

at the same time carefully bending the fasteners with a screwdriver.
