Downshift Switch: Description and Operation
Kickdown function
T5: The kickdown switch, located under the accelerator pedal, provides information to the transmission control module, on pin 37, when the accelerator
has been fully depressed. When fully depressed, the accelerator pedal activates the kickdown switch and puts 0 V (ground) on pin 37.
T7: Trionic has a pedal position sensor that provides information on the position of the accelerator pedal. When the angle of the pedal exceeds a
predetermined value, the Trionic sends the information "KICKDOWN ON" over the bus, value ON/OFF.
All variants: The control module uses the signal to control the shifting points so that maximum performance is obtained. The kickdown function is
available in all shifting programs.
