main positions. The air is then distributed between the defroster and floor or between the panel and floor.

The air distribution damper is controlled by a control shaft that runs directly into the climate control unit to the damper.

Fan speed

The fan has four speeds. These are controlled by a fan knob on the control panel and a connected fan resistor.

Recirculation

The control panel feeds a direct current motor that turns the recirculation flap.

A/C

The button supplies B+ to DICE if the fan is running. DICE requests A/C switch-on by the engine management system. Note that DICE has several
blocking conditions for the A/C function.

Electrically heated rear window and door mirrors

The button shifts between electrically heated rear window and door mirrors on and off. When the control for electrically heated rear window is turned on,
a B+ signal is sent to DICE.

An LED indicates if the electrically heated rear window and door mirrors are activated.

Control Module

Control Panel

The control panel consists of a display with three control knobs for manual control of temperature, air distribution and fan speed. The electrically heated
rear window and door mirrors, air recirculation and eventual A/C is controlled by buttons.

Diagnosis

The control panel does not contain any diagnostic functions and is not connected to a bus.
