Steering Wheel
To remove
Warning: Read the safety and handling instructions for the Airbag (SRS) before starting work.
See Safety and handling directions.
Important: Make sure the wheels are pointing straight ahead before starting removal.
1. Put the ignition in OFF position.
2. Remove the airbag from the steering wheel, 2 plugs and screws.
3. Lift out the airbag and unplug the connector.
Important: The steering wheel often comes loose suddenly from the cone and there is a risk that the contact roller and leads can fasten to the
steering wheel and be damaged.
4. Undo the steering wheel centre nut to the last few threads and pull off the steering wheel to that position.
Warning: Never use the steering column adjustment to knock loose the steering wheel, as this will damage the impact joint.
5. Remove the nut and carefully lift off the steering wheel.
To fit
1. Make sure the wheels are pointing straight ahead.
2. Put in place the steering wheel.
