Check Messages
The SID unit display can be used by all connected Systems to show CHECK messages. When the ignition is turned ON, "CHECKING" appears for
approx. 4 seconds. Then a CHECK message is shown if active.
The following message is shown direct (without a 4 second delay):
^
Key not accepted
If a CHECK message is initiated, an acoustic signal is heard, the INFO DISPL lamp in the main instrument unit lights and a message is shown. If the
message is preceded by a + sign, more than one message has been activated.
CHECK messages are shown in the following order of priority:
1
KEY NOT ACCEPTED
2
TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING
3
BRAKE LIGHT FAILURE
4
FRONT LIGHT FAILURE
5
FOG LIGHT FAILURE
6
REAR LIGHT FAILURE
7
TEST BRAKE LIGHTS
8
WASHER FLUID LEVEL LOW
9
FILL COOLANT FLUID
10
SERVICE THEFT ALARM
11
REPLACE KEY BATTERY
12
TIME FOR SERVICE
WASHER FLUID LEVEL LOW is shown after a 70 second delay and COOLANT LEVEL LOW is shown after a 30 second delay (not when ignition
ON "CHECKING").
The driver acknowledges a message by pressing any button except NIGHT PANEL. If more than one message is activated, the next message is
acknowledged in the same way. When a message has been acknowledged, it is not shown again. If the messages are not acknowledged, they are deleted
from the display automatically at the rate of one message per minute.
TEST BRAKE LIGHT cannot be acknowledged as above, but disappears only when the brake pedal is pressed.
