Night Panel

Pressing the Night Panel button extinguishes the display lighting and reduces the intensity of the button lighting.
The SID unit display lights up only if a CHECK message is activated
After confirmation from the driver, the display is extinguished again unless the NIGHT PANEL button is pressed.
The SID unit also lights up for 10 seconds if any trip computer button is pressed or if any audio function is changed.

The SID unit sends the following bus information:

Rheostat Night Panel, unit % (rheostat level less a fixed value).

Outside Temperature Sensor

Outside Temperature Sensor

The outside temperature sensor mounted in the centre of the lower spoiler gives the SID unit information on the current outside temperature. The sensor
is an NTC resistor.
The SID unit measures the outside temperature by applying +5 V to the sensor through a resistor (10 kohm) in the control module via pin 20. The sensor
is grounded via pin 7.
The voltage across the integral resistor in the SID unit is proportional to the outside air temperature. The SID unit uses the outside temperature for the 
trip computer function and the reading is sent as bus information OUTSIDE TEMP unit centigrade see Technical description, "Trip Computer Functions
