Remote Switch: Description and Operation
Steering Wheel Switches
General
The audio system can also be controlled with the steering wheel switches (the control buttons are located on the steering wheel). The switches comprise
two units (six connectors). Detailed information is given in the Owner's Manual.
The steering wheel switches are connected to SID and present information on the connectors that are active. SID sends information on the buttons to the
bus which is then read by the main unit.
Function
SID supplies +5 V to the steering wheel switches via pin 22, and grounds them via pin 9
