Shift Cable: Adjustments

Checking and adjustment, selector lever cable 

1. Check that the play in the selector lever is the same in position N as in position D. If it is not, adjust the cable as follows.
2. Move the selector lever to position P (inside the car).

3. Lift up the cable adjustment catch.
4. Move the selector lever on the gearbox to the P position.
5. Roll the car until the P interlock engages.
6. Press the selector lever rearwards and press down the adjustment catch so that it locks the cable ferrule.

NOTE:  There is a play in the P-position (inside the car). The selector lever should be held rearward when the catch is pressed down.

7. Check that the play is the same in positions N and D.
