Detach the rear section of the backrest upholstery fabric by removing the upholstery retaining strip and folding the fabric to or side.

Remove the lumbar support adjustment control.

Detach the upholstery retaining strip along the edge on the rear of the backrest frame. Fold the fabric aside.

Remove the two wire rods securing the front upholstery fabric at the lower rear edge.

Remove the felt padding on the side of the airbag beside the backrest articulation by unhooking it from the pullmaflex netting.

Remove the SAHR's plastic-coated resistance spring.

Remove the side airbag, 3 nuts.

Lift out the side airbag.

Never repair and refit damaged seat upholstery. The strength of the seams is carefully calculated and must not be changed.
