Vanity Lamp: Description and Operation
Reading And Mirror Lighting
The reading lights and vanity mirror lighting is turned on and off with the switch for each lamp. The switch for the vanity mirror lighting is integrated in
the mirror lid and is turned on/off when the lid is opened or closed respectively. The power supply to the lights is fed via the DICE control module,
which also monitors the function.

The reading and mirror lighting can always be turned on/off when the ignition is ON (+15 or +54).

The reading and mirror lighting can also be turned on when the ignition is OFF (or key removed). The lighting then stays on for 20 minutes before
being turned off automatically.
To turn on the reading and mirror lighting again after 20 minutes, the ignition must be turned ON (and back again) or a door opened/closed or
alternatively closed/opened.
The lighting goes out while the engine is started (starter motor cranks). However, it does not stay off for more than 20 seconds.
+30 current is always fed to DICE for the reading and mirror lighting. The current is fed from pin 70 on the control module to the lights, which are
operated with their respective switches.
