Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement
Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement (See: Air Filter Element/Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
3. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2) on the air cleaner side of the air cleaner outlet resonator (3).
4. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
5. If replacing the air cleaner outlet duct, remove the MAF/IAT sensor. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor/Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement (
See: Computers and Control Systems/Air Flow Meter/Sensor/Service and Repair).
Installation Procedure
1. If the MAF/IAT sensor was previously removed, install the MAF/IAT sensor into the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor/Intake
Air Temperature Sensor Replacement (See: Computers and Control Systems/Air Flow Meter/Sensor/Service and Repair).
2. Install the air cleaner outlet duct onto the air cleaner outlet resonator (3).
3. Install the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement (See: Air Filter Element/Service and Repair).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
4. Properly position the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2) on the air cleaner side of the air cleaner outlet resonator (3).
Tighten the clamp (2) to 4 Nm (35 in. lbs.).
5. Connect the electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
