15. Remove the water pump bolts.
16. Remove the water pump and gaskets.
17. Discard the water pump gaskets.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice).
Important: All gasket surfaces are to be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly.
1. Install the water pump and NEW gaskets.
2. Install the water pump bolts.

On the initial pass, tighten the bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
*
On the final pass, tighten the bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
