Installation Procedure
Important:

All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly.

Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the manifold. Plug as required.
1. Install the service gasket (1) onto the manifold.
2. Install the manifold (2) with gasket.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice).
3. Install the manifold bolts (1).
Tighten the manifold bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor.
5. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (5.3L) (See: Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Intake Manifold Replacement
