Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine

Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Air Filter Element/Service and Repair) for the 4.2L engine or Air Cleaner Element Replacement (See:
Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Air Filter Element/Service and Repair) for
the 5.3L engine.

2. Remove the air cleaner/washer container assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and

Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair) for the 4.2L engine or Air Cleaner Assembly
Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair) for
the 5.3L engine.

3. Remove the washer pumps from the container assembly. Refer to Headlamp Washer Pump Replacement (See: Headlamp Washer Pump/Service

and Repair), Windshield Washer Pump Replacement (See: Windshield Washer Pump/Service and Repair/Windshield Washer Pump Replacement
), and Rear Window Washer Pump Replacement (See: Windshield Washer Pump/Service and Repair/Rear Window Washer Pump Replacement).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the washer pumps to the container assembly. Refer to Headlamp Washer Pump Replacement (See: Headlamp Washer Pump/Service and

Repair), Windshield Washer Pump Replacement (See: Windshield Washer Pump/Service and Repair/Windshield Washer Pump Replacement),
and Rear Window Washer Pump Replacement (See: Windshield Washer Pump/Service and Repair/Rear Window Washer Pump Replacement).

2. Install the air cleaner/washer container assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up

and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair) for the 4.2L engine or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (See:
Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair) for the 5.3L engine.

3. Install the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine
