Return Of 900 Heater Fan Components
This letter is to inform you that 900 heater fan motor kit, P/N 86 05 115, should no longer be sold and should be removed from your shelves. Also,
resistor 85 69 030 is to be removed from inventory and returned to Saab.
This fan motor kit has been superseded to a new kit with PIN 86 05 172. The resistor is replaced by PIN 95 58 784. The latest kit is now in stock and
ready for shipment to you. The price of the new fan motor is the same as the one it is replacing.
Should you have any stock of the old fan motors P/N 86 05 115, or resistor PIN 85 69 030, they should be returned to Saab, referencing this Dealer
Letter, no later than Friday, October 13, 1989. Use standard RFRC procedures, except that prior authorization is not required.
The new fan motor can be identified by the white tag containing identification number 40 73 474 and by the yellow dot on top of the motor. Do not
attempt ordering 40 73 474. The fan is only available from Saab under PIN 86 05 172. All M90 production models will have the new fan motor installed
as original equipment.
