AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Engine oil pan is an integral part of engine case. To remove pan, remove engine and transmission assembly as outlined in ``Engine, Replace.''
1.
Drain engine oil, remove flywheel cover and starter, and support assembly in an upright level position.
2.
Disconnect throttle downshift cable at throttle housing.
3.
Remove bolts securing engine to transmission, and remove 4 bolts securing flywheel (flex plate) to torque converter.
4.
Turn flex plate so that bolt holes are aligned with vertical and horizontal axes of engine.
5.
Lift engine from transmission, taking care not to disturb torque converter.
6.
Install torque converter support tool No. 8790255.
7.
Reverse procedure to install, applying a suitable sealer to bolts and areas shown by arrows,

MANUAL TRANSMISSION

Drain engine oil, remove clutch cover and starter motor, and support assembly in an upright level position.
2.
Remove clutch shaft as outlined in ``Clutch, Replace.''
3.
Remove clutch slave cylinder.
4.
Remove bolts securing engine to transmission and lift engine from transmission, removing release bearing guide sleeve as assemblies are
separated.
5.
Reverse procedure to install, using a suitable sealer on areas shown by arrows,
