Application:
1991 9000 Models

On 1991 9000 models, you may receive customer complaints of hard or delayed engagement or hesitant shifting between 4th and 3rd gears. This may be
due to deformed, bent or broken accumulator springs. Refer to the procedure below to correct this complaint.

Cars Affected:

1991 9000 cars with automatic transmission

Includes automatic transmission units up to and including serial number 143960.

Parts:

Accumulator spring A (forward position) 

Accumulator spring D (reverse position)

Action:

Remove the valve body, see Service Manual 4:3 "Automatic transmission", page 472-6.
