Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair
With Mark II ABS System
Front brake calipers must be bled first.
1.
Fill fluid reservoir to the top.
2.
Connect a length of transparent hose to right front caliper bleed nipple and place other end of hose into a clear container.
3.
While depressing brake pedal, open bleed nipple.
4.
Repeat step 3 until there are no more air bubbles visable in the hose.
5.
Connect hose to left front caliper and repeat steps 3 and 4.
6.
Connect hose to either rear caliper, switch on ignition and repeat steps 3 and 4. Pump motor must not run for more than two minutes at a time.
After motor has been running, let it cool for approximately 10 minutes.
7.
Repeat step 6 on the other rear caliper, then fill fluid reservoir.
