When the ignition switch is then turned to the test position, the positive supply will remain and the lamps will be earthed simultaneously, since
terminals C and C1 in the ignition switch will be interconnected.
The following lamps in the pictogram will be connected during the test:
Central warning lamp
The lamps for the front lights
The lamps for the rear lights
Oil pressure warning lamp
Fault-tracing hints
The warning lamps in pictogram 213 can be activated by setting ignition switch 20 to the drive position.
1. Check fuse 13 and check that the supply to it is live.
2. Check that the supply to terminal 9 (1987)17 (1988) on the pictogram is live.
3. Check the relevant bulbs in the pictogram. Carry out this check with the ignition switch in the test position (terminals C and C1 interconnected).
4. Check that terminal 15 of the relay is energized in the drive position (only on cars for the EU market except SE, FI and GB).
5. Disconnect and earth the cable connected to the oil pressure transmitter. If the lamp lights up, the circuit is in good condition.
6. Check the wiring and earth connections. If the filament monitor has been replaced, check against the spare parts catalogue that the correct market
variant of the filament monitor has been fitted.
