8 Cars with idle speed adjusting screw
Screw in the idle speed adjusting screw fully and tighten the locknut.
9 Slacken the throttle adjusting screw's locknut, using spanner 83 94 322, and adjust idling speed to 750-775 rpm. Then lock the adjusting screw
with the nut.
10 Set the switch in cable 83 93 886 to OFF. Check that idling speed is stabilized at 850 ± 75 rpm.
11 Switch off the engine and adjust the throttle position switch so that a click is heard when the throttle is rotated away from the closed throttle
position. Do not confuse this sound with the click made by the shift-up switch.
12 Screw the throttle position switch in place. Remove the jumper lead and plug in the position switch.
13 Adjust the throttle damper so that it closes the throttle within 4 ± 1 second. Tighten the locknut.
14 Remove the wiring.
