Additional PDI Action: Replace Throttle Control Plate to Improve Throttle Response, Kick-Down Function

Application:
1995 9000 CDE Models with V6 Engine Vin Serial No. S1000001-S1022771

At the PDI, please replace the throttle control plate using P/N 4528 147 (listed below) on all vehicles within the affected VIN Serial No. range. This part
can also be used to address a customer complaint of poor throttle response. The new throttle control plate increases the rate of throttle opening at light
throttle pedal movement.

Action:

1.

Remove the left-hand engine cover. It is secured in 3 places:
a.

T-30 screw as shown in Figure 1, point a.

b.

Rubber strap as shown in Figure 1, point b.

c.

Plastic clip (part of cover itself) as shown in Figure 1, point C.
