Valve Guide Seal: Service and Repair
With Cylinder Head Removed

REMOVAL 

1. Install protective sleeves 83 95 022, or equivalent to protect the tappet cylinders.
2. Remove the seals from the valve guides using pliers 83 94 157, or equivalent.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the seals with tool 83 95 071, or equivalent. The seal is placed in the tool and then the tool is placed in the valve guide. If the valve is fitted

use the valve stem as a guide.

.Tap the seal into position using a plastic mallet and remove the plastic sleeves.
