Installation

1. Install the O-ring to the speedometer drive sleeve.
2. Install the drive in its sleeve and install the seal.

There are two designs of seal.

In the earlier design, the seal is placed uppermost on the sleeve.

In the later design, the seal is pressed into the sleeve.

3. Install the speedometer drive in the torque converter housing so that the hexagon on the drive is inserted in the corresponding hole in the torque

converter housing.

This means that the sleeve can rotate.

4. Depending on design, install the toothed ring, locking screw or tap in the locking pin.
5. Install the speedometer cable or electronic sensor.

The securing bracket should always be installed if the electronic sensor is attached using a toothed ring.
