1
Plug in the Intelligent Saab Tester (ISAT) scan tool and select "READ FAULT CODES" from the menu. If any diagnostic trouble codes are
present, continue in Trouble Code Tables.
2
Select "READ VALUES" from the menu and then "DRIVER DOOR" or "PASSENGER DOOR". Open and close the driver's door or the
passenger doors.
Read the ISAT scan tool display,
Important: Since the passenger doors are connected in parallel, the "PASSENGER DOOR" command must be used for one door at a time.
3
Unplug the door switch connector and ground it while taking a reading with the ISAT scan tool. If this works, the door switch is faulty. Check its
operation and change it if necessary. NOTE: the grounding screw must be in good contact with the body metal.
4
Connect a BOB and check the lead for continuity/shorting as follows:
-
between Integrated Central Electronics (ICE) module connector pin 44 and the switch in the driver's door.
-
between ICE module connector pin 67 and the three passenger door switches.
