Cut away material along the leading edge as indicated in Figure 4, item A of the defroster outlet on the dashboard.  Cut away foil and foam down
to the dashboard's plastic framework.

Fit the new soundproofing material in place on both side.

7.

On some cars the mounting holes in the new defroster cover will not coincide with the holes in the dashboard. Take measurements and drill new
holes which coincide with the old defroster cover's holes.

8.

Fit the new defroster cover in place.

9.

Fit the new speaker grilles, P/N 46 41 171 (LH) and P/N 46 41 189 (RH).
