Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Testing and Inspection

1. Select VALVE TEST in the ACTIVATE menu.

NOTE: The test can only be started when the car is standing still.

2. Rotate the wheel by hand. The wheel should rotate freely.

If you respond YES the intake valve and passage from the master cylinder to the wheel cylinder is closed.

3. The intake valve is closed. The valve has moved to HOLDING PRESSURE position. The passage is closed and there is no brake pressure to the

wheels.

4. The wheel should rotate freely.

NOTE:  If you respond YES the intake valve and passage are opened. Brake pressure can go to the wheels.

5. The wheel should be locked

NOTE:  If you respond with YES the outlet valve opens and the return pump starts. Brake fluid pressure returns from the wheel cylinder with the
