Cruise Control Switch: Description and Operation
The Cruise Control system is controlled by means of push-button switch 141. This switch is spring-loaded, i.e. it will return to the neutral (zero) position
after activation.
The different positions of the switch are as follows:
NEUTRAL: In the neutral position, no current is supplied to any of the connections A, B or C.
TIP: To the left, between the neutral and ON/OFF positions, is a position called TIP.
When the Cruise Control system is activated (ON) and in operation, the CRUISE lamp goes out to indicate that the switch has been moved to the TIP
position.
In the TIP position, current is supplied to connections B and C of the control module and the Cruise Control system is disengaged.
ON/OFF: Further to the left of the neutral position is the ON/OFF position.
In the ON/OFF position, current is supplied to control module connections A, B and C.
In the ON/OFF position, the button is alternately ON and OFF each time it is pressed.
If one or more of the connections receives no current, the button will not work in the ON/OFF position.
